Growing up in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Matt & Jeff Alligood were raised up in a family of contractors & engineers. Their grandfathers were both mechanics. One working in the local paper mill in Philadelphia PA, the other a marine mechanic in Surf City, NJ. Our father and his two brothers all working as Mechanical Engineers and custom home remodeling as well for their whole careers.

Jeff & Matt started their first contracting business in 2007 along with their father specializing in home energy efficiency retrofits and Insulation. In 2017 they decided to take their skills into the Sierra National Forest and start building custom rental retreats on the mountain tops of California, a short term rental retreat center called The Canopy Sierras.

From there they have moved home and have spent the last couple years in custom remodeling of homes in the Philadelphia area. Combining their love for building with their ingrained history of family craftsmanship we started Good Spaces Contracing. A company dedicated to bringing a minimal stylistic approach for remodeling to maximize value in your home for the next generation of home buyers.
